Jan. 24th, 2003 08:11 amYesterday ended up being much better than I thought it would. I was all set to whine about how the house was a mess and I couldn't work in the yard and I was tired... Until I looked out the window just before posting and saw the sun. So I updated, grabbed the shovel, and headed outdoors. ( where you learn about what happened in geojlc's life yesterday ) The end of the story was, though, that we got home REALLY, REALLY late, and we had a very difficult time getting up this morning.
Jeff will be jealous, but I went back to bed after dropping him off (don't worry too much. I'll let him take a nap this afternoon and sleep in late tomorrow...). I also opted out of exercise this morning, because I feel like I did two days worth yesterday. I think today had better be clean up the house day. The dishes REALLY need doing, and I don't want the house to be a total disaster when sora_kitsune comes over for bar-b-qued chicken. Unless the rain clears by this evening, it looks like I'll be cooking on the front stoop. I tried cooking in the garage last time, but had several neighbors stop to ask if I knew there was smoke coming out of the garage. Very friendly, but I don't want to deal with that again :-) I get to use the new 20lb propane tank we filled last night. Yeah! The last time I used the bar-b-que, I pretty much emptied a whole small propane tank (the kind you take on camping trips to fuel the coleman stove). If you can't tell, I am really excited. I love what we call "grandpa-fried-chicken" which is really chicken coated in a bit of curing sugar (looks like brown sugar but tastes salty) and bar-b-qued to perfection. MMMM. salivating already.....
Well, off to start the day!
