Aug. 11th, 2003 05:54 amWell, today is the big "get ready for the trip" day. Yes, I'll have most of tomorrow as well, but I would rather be "done" today so that tomorrow can be all of the things that I forgot instead of the rushed last minute "lets forget stuff" packing...
One of the things I am doing today is burning my favorite mp3's to a cdRW. I found out last night that my cd player (about 3-4 years old) doesn't work any more. It will read the cd. It will tell you how many tracks are on the cd. But it won't play the actual cd (even ones I know it has played before). I was really mad last night when I went to test it and found this out...(think 12-19 hours a day in a minivan with 6 people... I want my own music...). Jeff wsa starting to look at where we could get a deal on a cd R/RW/MP3 player (mine only did commercial cd's), but we just can't afford one right now. Then I remembered that my dad has one (I know, because we gave it to him). I also know that my dad can't listen to it while he's driving. So I called him and asked him to pack it. so now I can go back to planning what music I want to listen to... :-)
