Busy, busy, busy day...
First thing (like 7:30 am) ran over to Fred Meyer to do a lot of this week's grocery shopping and pick up some supplies for canning season.
Went to work. I hate Mondays. The kids have had the weekend break up their schedules and they don't want to be at school. More screaming than usual today...
Ran up to Lynnwood Jo-Ann's (or rather, the Quality Sew and Vac in the store where I got my sewing machine) to get a new lightbulb and learn how to change it. Also picked up a new pattern. Found a few others I want. they were either out or not on sale...
Hurried over to costco then Central Market to finish shopping and getting canning supplies.
Bar-b-qued chicken for dinner. Played NetHack while eating said dinner. (I love nethack! it is even better than the version of Larn I used to play for hours when I was a teenager...)
Sent Jeffrey and Sky off to see the Matrix at the Crest. Not interested in seeing it myself...
canned 5 pints of plums picked from our tree in the back. tomorrow or Wednesday will be applesauce. eventually, I also want to can peaches, pears, and fruit cocktail.
finished the laundry, sorted, and folded it.
The last thing to do tonight is make our lunches for tomorrow... then bedtime.
Tomorrow will also be busy. I have to make apple cake for the church activity tomorrow night. We have been collecting school supplies for needy children all year. Now we are making the bags to put everything in. They want us all to bring after school treats. Hence the apple cake...
