
Well, even if I don't feel better about gas prices, I do feel better about having walked to the store... Plus I got a whole bunch more steps on my pedometer... I'm going to have over 10,000 by the end of the day! WooHoo!!!! I have all the exercise endorphins, but I also feel good because I was able to do the walk reasonably easily. I don't think I would have been good for walking to the store and back a couple of months ago. Good for me!
I'm working on my walking with the hopes that I'll be able to do some hiking this summer. The hiking that I did last summer was not what I would have liked to do. I didn't get to hike below the rim at the Grand Canyon last summer. The rim hike we did instead was fun, but I really wanted to say that I had been below the rim. Of course, part of my problem then was altitude. I hadn't been feeling well after a flat amble the day before at a lower altitude...
We have some hikes planned for this summer that I really want to do. So I'm thinking of my walking now as training for that... :-) And I'm saving gas as well. Although I think that I'll take my bike (the thing with bags for the groceries) the next time I need to go actual grocery shopping... :-)
