First day

Today is the first day of the Shoreline School District. And I have a long temp job. I'll be working 6 hour days for the rest of the month.

I just hope it doesn't rain too much during school hours... The kids are going to be restless enough without missing recess work-it-off time...

It's only the first day of school and I've already been shafted by the district. that was fast...

They apperantly double booked the position (put in subfinder twice). I got to the school first and had the lower job number. Did I get the job? No. The other lady did. But because I showed up, they had to pay me at least some. So I worked 2 hours instead of 6 (5.5 with lunch). And I don't know where I'm working for the rest of the month. I may have complained, but I'd rather know where I'm working for a large block of time than not know. This changes a lot of plans. To bad I already rearranged a bunch of things around this job.

On the flip side, I'm kind of glad. The class room I would have been in looked rather difficult. Of course, it's the first day of school in a 1st/2nd grade special ed room, so that could be most of the problem.

I don't know what I feel. Except shafted. Again.

grr...

(I'm getting grumpy, so I'm going away now.)
