YEA!

My world is happy again. Jeffrey is back from the other side and I've had a wonderful afternoon just being near him!

Lois McMaster Bujold's The Curse of Chalion is VERY good! I stayed up waaaaayyyy too long last night reading it. And I didn't even finish it... But I finished it tonight. Now I have to wait a few days to start Paladin of Souls. I have stuff that actually needs doing around the house... :-)

We heard on the news that the Northern Lights were out tonight. So we headed over to Matthews Beach to try and see them. I've never seen the Northern LIghts before.

I still haven't really seen them Not the way I imagined they would be anyway. There was too much light pollution for us to make out the aurora with our eyes. But Jeffrey was taking long exposure photos that were turning out very green. And some of them had aurora-like ripples. One even had a red column in it...

We toyed with the idea of driving north for a while and trying to find a darker spot to see if we could actually see the lights, but we decided instead to come home. It's not freezing outside, but niether is it really warm... :-)

I'm closer to having seen the aurora borealis!
