(no subject)

I have a very snuggly cat. She just loves to come curl up and snuggle. Especially if I am lying in bed reading... It is SOOO hard to get up when the cat has her head on my arm, her paws up against my chin, and is snoring. It's even harder when the book is good and I haven't read it before...

Yes, I had a reading morning. I'm at least as bad with my reading as Gene is with the TV... :-) If I had a choice, I'd spend all day, every day with my nose in a book...

I just finished the Tamora Pierce series, Protector of the Small. I had read all of them but the last. But it had been a few years. So I read them first and finally got to Lady Knight yesterday. Good book! She can tell a pretty good tale too. I especially love that many of her main characters are girls and women. Strong females who win through troubles on thier own. Without being wimps or, or, or... Whatever. Yes, the books are geared at teenagers, but that doesn't keep me from liking them! :-)

Ok. so that isn't all I've done today. I have done a few things around the house. I helped get Jeffrey to work. He's working overtime until the end of the year. Poor boy. So I'm doing the best I can to make sure that he gets enough to eat and sleep, and enough relaxation at home that he doesn't get too worn out by work... Part of that means driving him into work. Which means that I'm not really walking right now. grr... I shall have to work on that.

Speaking of work, I should get back to some... :-)

My cat should be soccer player...

She's currently batting around something out in the hall. She plays with the wierdest things! I think this one is a little casing for one of those champaigne bottle party poppers (the kind where you pull a string and a bunch of streamers go flying...).

Sometimes she plays with bottle cap lids (the clear plastic lids that go on waterbottles). sometimes my hairbands that have fallen on the floor. and sometimes just small pieces of paper... how wierd.

But it is very amusing! :-)

I swear that she would be great at cat soccer, if such a thing existed. Yea, like you could get that many cats together and then get them to stop ignoring each other or fighting long enough to play... that's funny! :-)

I'm in a wierd mood... Jeffrey's on his way home and I have to figure out what to do for dinner... sigh...
