Jeff and I had a very nice evening last night. I picked him up at work and we had a picnic in the Arboretum. Well, I don't know if they still count the area down by the ship canal as the arboretum, but there you go. We at on a stump right by the water. The funny thing is that there was this ever hopeful duck who kept coming up to us. "you want to feed me. I know you want to feed me because I'm a cute animal. You want to feed me even more because you feel sorry for the fact that my wings are clipped..." We never did feed her, even though we did feel sorry for the clipped wings and we did think she was cute. She was also already enough of a shameless hussy... :-) At one point, 4 more of her posse came over and begged. "If one wasn't cute enough, maybe 5 will be cute enough to tempt you to feed us!" As tempting as it was, we were good and resisted... :-) It was pretty funny, though...

Then we went to a work meeting over had [livejournal.com profile] dehd and [livejournal.com profile] kehf's house. It is always nice to stop over and visit for whatever reason!

It was still pretty early when we got home, so Jeff and I went outside and hung out in the hammock. I LOVE hammocks (if you can't guess), and it was so nice to just sit with Jeffrey. I think we both dozed for a bit. It was very relaxing. Then the cat decided she had to investigate, only she wouldn't come up on her own. So we snagged her and brought up the Mattie cat. I don't think she was too impressed, although she hung around longer than the last time I brought her up into the hammock... :-) Finally, just after sunset, we came inside and goofed off the rest of the evening. It was very nice...

So, Jeffrey is going to talk to the the G boys (at the potentially new job) over lunch. I hope things go well for him!

Me, I'm having another somewhat resting day. I'm making bread. I just finished brunch. I need to get some paying work done here in a bit and cut out supplies for my card class on Thursday. Then I'll pick up Jeffrey, make hamburgers, and run off to a meeting that's happening tonight.

I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. The cold isn't particularly bad anymore, just irritating and dragging on for what seems like forever! Hopefully I'll get over it soon!
