Things I learned today...
Feb. 27th, 2006 01:12 pmWhile there are many places where you can substitute canola oil for melted butter or margerine, macaroni and cheese is NOT one of them... :-)
sigh...
I had a pretty good weekend. The trip down to Portland was fun. I had to make a couple of stops along the way to pick up Stampin' Up! orders. It meant we got down to Portland pretty late. But that was ok. It was kind of funny to walk around the corner to my family's front door and see my dad peeking through the window.
It was lots of fun to see my family again. Mom's card class went over very well. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cards.
After the class, Mom, Dad, Kevin, Jeff, and I went out to China Bay for lunch. The food was yummy as ever!
Then came the crazy drive back up to Ballard to attend ed board. whew! I didn't blow Jeff's 2 year perfect attendance streak at the first meeting of the year... :-) It was nice to visit with everyone.
Sunday was church. I found out 2 weeks ago that there is a ward choir... This ward is kind of odd. Everyone is nice and everything, it just seems like there isn't a really good way to find out about ongoing activities... So anyway I decided to go to choir practice. It's the hour before church, so that's not bad. However, there is nothing like showing up at choir practice and finding out that the choir is performing today... Luckily, the song was pretty easy. It was just mentally stressful.
After church I ran down to Shoreline to play with my friends. Gaming was fun as usual. Even if I had to be on the spot as soon as I walked through the door... There was mayhem. There was laughter. Sometimes there were both at the same time... :-)
Today is about being busy. I've made a bank run, entered the last of my Stampin' Up! February orders, done some paying work, and payed the end of the month bills. I also need to clean up my stamping stuff from last weekend, fold laundry, and run to the grocery store. There's other stuff I want to do, but let's get those done first, eh?
Best get busy!
sigh...
