And the crazyness begins...
Apr. 6th, 2006 08:39 amOk. So it's fun crazy. But it's still crazy! :-)
We have company coming over for dinner tonight. We're feeding the missionaries as well as an investigator who lives up the street. She's thinking about joining the church, and the missionaries are introducing her to people in the ward so she won't feel alone. I'm kind of excited because I don't know all that many people yet...
So, today is all about finishing the cleaning, putting up pictures, finishing designing my April card class projects, putting time into the paying work, and making dinner. We're doing past with homemade cooked sauce... MMMmmmm... Last time I made it, I made a huge batch and froze a bunch of it. So all I have to do is pull it out of the freezer and thaw it. I love those kind of dinners! :-)
Tomorrow my family shows up. I need to make bread and finish cleaning up. Saturday my family is going out to lunch then it's all about the party! I'm so excited! :-)
Last night before our work meeting, we made a DI (church thrift store) run. We donated a few things and then went in to look at furnature. We found a pretty nice credenza (not too beat up, pretty solid looking and feeling) for only $10 and a 4 shelf particle board shelf for only $3. They are now installed behind the bikes and the big pile-o-garden stuff that was looking very cluttered is now looking much more contained. The extra cat perch is an added bonus... :-) I still need to eventually organize stuff on the shelves, but I think it's enough to have the stuff off the floor for now... The place is really starting to feel moved in!
I'm still amazed by how big the main room feels when it doesn't have all the stuff in it. We'll see if it still feels that big with lots of people hanging around... :-)
Stuff, stuff, stuff... There's always more stuff!
