I broke my phone.

Ok. It was already sort of broken. But, butterfingers that I am, I dropped it again last night and now it doesn't work. I can hear the phone ring when I'm called, but I can't hear the person talking. And I can't hear the outgoing ring when I try calling someone else (let alone them talking).

So. I'm phoneless for a bit.

I was going to take my old Kyocera into Verizon and ask them to put my phone number back on it. However, Jeff called to find out when we are due for new phones and found out that it was May 28. Last time, it wasn't till July. So, either tonight or tomorrow, we are off to get new phones. Of course, since they have another buy 1 get 1 deal going, guess what we are most likely getting... (Verizon only gives enough credit for 1 free phone. sigh... :-) But that's ok. New phone! :-)

In the mean time, if you need to get ahold of me, email or google talk is the way to go. Or call Jeff's phone after work hours... sigh...

In other news, it's errand day. Mike called last night to say that he had a part Jeff has been looking for to fix a work computer. If we could bring a power supply down to check the computer it's attached to, he would give us the piece. But we're busy tonight. So I'm driving down with the power supply and meeting Mike at work. I figure while I'm down there, I might as well drop off some Stampin' Up! orders, stop at Sky Nursrey and get the tomato plant I've been wanting to get, and do a few other errands. Besides. There's a Coldstone right by where Mike works, and I've a hankering for Coldstone... :-)

As to the busyness tonight, we were invited by another couple in my ward to come over and play games with them for family home evening! I'm really excited. I've been missing having friends close by. Yes, I see people at church, but it's never really the same. I was totally spoiled having Kristin and David so close. I could always pop by for a cup of conversation or project time. And, while we still see them once a week or so, it isn't quite the same. Anyway, Sarah and her family moved here just after we did, so I'm sure it's just as exciting for them as it is for us. The funniest part is that we set up the game night by passing notes at church. I haven't done that in YEARS! :-)

So, game nights, new phones, getting out of the house, and ice cream--life is pretty dang good!

Woot!

We have achieved new phones! You can call me now and I'll even be able to hear you!

Jeff was kind of hoping that the next version would be there. Maybe we'll see if they have it before the 'try it for so many days' time period has worn out.

Me? I'm pretty happy with it. I don't really care about all the spiffy gadgets (the clerk seemed non-plussed that I didn't want the accessory case). I'm just happy to have a phone back! It can get a bit lonely around the house... Even more so if I have very limited ways of contacting anyone...

Anywho. I had a nice visit with Michael and helped Jeff pick up the part he was wanting. Ok. work bought the whole computer for the spare parts, but that seemed to be a good deal. Mike also introduced me to Mad Pizza and Gelato. Both were pretty good. I'd never had gelato before. I liked it!

I also got to stop at Sky nursrey and do some wonderful browsing. Since the neighbors are moving, the landlord would like me to work on the yard next door. Well, other than the grass since I don't have any kind of mower... I bought some bedding packs at Sky as well as my tomato plant and the silver mound plant I've been looking for. It was a very nice Sky nursery visit. I like that place! :-)

Tomorrow is all about being busy. I have 3 card classes to prep for, paying work to do, and, if I have time, plants to put in dirt. It should be a good day though!
