Jul. 23rd, 2006 08:09 amIt's been a good weekend, but I'm happy to go home. With a detour along the way. After all, it's Norwescon Volunteer Picnic day. I'm glad I'll get to go this year. I'm even happier that I won't be driving. I find that I'm a bit cranky right after driving a few hours. Especially on the way home.
Anyway, we helped celebrate my way cute nephew's birthday in fine style. It was a Mr. Incredible birthday. There was lots of running around with the cousins, yummy birthday cake, and, of course, presents! They seemed to like the I Spy Bag I made for him. I hope he has lots of fun with it!
After the party, we helped do some painting prep-work at my grandma's house. Wow was it hard, hot work! I had sweat dripping off my face. It made the air condinioning at dinner feel that much better.
We jointed Eric and Mirinda and the kids over at Qdobas for Mexican. my queso burrito was pretty good, but a little spicy. Quinten had more energy and it was fun watching him play with my dad and sister. Then he came over and Jeff did the 'give me five, way up high, way down low, too slow Joe!' thing with him once. I started doing it after that. It took him a few times to get it, but then he thought it was WAY funny! I did it and he'd laugh and laugh and laugh. Then he started saying it with me. When we were getting ready to leave, he looked up at me and said, "Hey, Joe!" It was very cute!
I also finally got to meet my very cute niece who was born in Feb. She's gotten kind of chunky, but she's still very cute. Especially when she's laughing!
So, even though it has been very hot, it was very fun!
