better today

Thank goodness it's cooler today! Thank goodness it cooled off last night so we could get the temp down in the house to below 70. I'm much happier. I didn't even have to go to the library to get away from the hot.

I started this morning with some sewing. I have a pattern I want to make some cool pants out of. As with every pattern, I make it with muslin first to make sure things fit. I'm glad I did as I need to alter it some. But I'm really excited about it. They will be nice and cool in this hot weather!

After the sewing, I poked around on the puter a bit and ate lunch. Then I buckled down and did some paying work. Yea for paying work! Now I get to heat up the house that I've worked on keeping cool... I promised to make some cookies for a dinner I'm going to tonight and silly me didn't do it last night...

Oh well. I'm hoping it won't be too bad.

After the cookies, it's database time. I'm reading up on database design. I have a small database project I'm trying to do for Norwescon and I know very little about databases. I'm enjoying the reading and I feel like I'm learning a bunch. I'm also pretty sure it will be useful at some point in the future.

Best get to the cookies. At least it's only 75 outside! It should make it easier to cool down the house after baking...

In other news, Jeff and I had fun at Liss's dinner gathering. The cookies seemed to go over well (especially the golden brownies!). Good times!
