Yesterday was nice and quiet. I did some paying work. I did some stamping. I read some. And I put together dinner for the missionaries. Since it was beans and rice, it was pretty easy. Pull black beans from freezer and reheat. Saute garlic and rice in olive oil. Add boiling water and cook until the rice is not soggy. Steam edemame (young soy beans in shell). Make 5 minute fruit salad (fruit coctail with juice from can, mandarin oranges drained (I used pears cause I didn't have any oranges), pinapple juice drained (use some of the juice if necessary), package vanilla pudding, cool whip). The longest part was cooking the rice... They seemed to like it ok. I enjoyed it quite a lot.

So, for those of you who like music, you might want to check out Pandora.com. I learned about it from one of Liss's dinner guests last Tuesday. You create radio stations based on either an artist or a song. They play music with similar qualities to whatever you picked. You can also train it by telling it "thumbs up, play more songs like this" and "thumbs down, I don't think you should play music like this on this station!". I've found some new artists that I like through the station. It's pretty sweet... (it's based off the music genome project, whatever that is, and it has a pretty big collection. Chances are they will have SOMETHING you like! :-)

Last night we got a call from Jeff's parents. They are in town and want to take us to lunch at Alfie's. Yea for pizza! How did they know I have been really wanting pizza lately?

It's nice and cloudy and cool this morning. I don't think it will rain, but it kind of smells damp outside. I'm hoping it doesn't burn off too early...

Other than Alfie's it should be another pretty quiet day. Paying work, stamping, maybe some sewing. Lunch with Jeff's parents, maybe a trip to the post office (depending on how my stamping goes). Part of me wants to go folk dancing tonight in Greenwood, but I don't know that I will. Money for the gas to get there. Money for the dance itself... Besides, I'm liking the quiet evenings spent home with Jeff.

This is one of those rare weekends where there isn't a lot planned. I have a meeting down in Lynnwood tomorrow morning. I have church and then some local visits to make on Sunday. And those are the only plans... MMMmmmmm.... I can't wait!

I should go be productive...

USPS Click'n ship has to be one of the coolest things ever!

I had a package I wanted to send. I wasn't looking forward to going to the post office. I went to the Click'n Ship website (off USPS), created an account, entered my shipping information, entered my cousin's shipping information, chose my shipping options (only really for Priority, Express, and Global), used my debit card to pay for the postage, and then printed up a label.

Cut out the label and attach it to the package (no writing the to/from info--it's on the label!). If I had done this in the morning, I could have given it to my carrier. Since it was later, I went to the post office. But I didn't have to stand in line. I could just drop it off in one of the post boxes. So nice!

I think I'm going to have to do this WAY more often!
