I am a baking queen!

I was in the mood to bake today! Bread is just about ready to come out of the oven. Golden brownies are cooling in their pan. And I just finished making lemon curd to go into lemon tartlets... (mmmmm.....)

Why, you ask? Well, I haven't had bread for a couple of weeks (too hot). Also, Jeff's family is having a barbque get together tonight and there is gaming tomorrow. I asked Jeff's mom what I could bring and she said dessert. I LOVE it when people ask me to bring dessert! I especially love it when I have a day with not much planned when I can have fun (as opposed to just coming back from vacation... that's about the only time I don't like being asked to bring dessert...). So I made golden brownies cause they are easy and yummy. But then I was really wanting something lemon. I remember making the lemon curd last year and how yummy it was. I also remember that it made way more than I needed for the game. So I'll take some tonight to the BBQ and the rest to the game tomorrow.

It's been very nice having a Saturday with very little planned... I get a tiny break in August. That's odd since it's usually August that's booked solid and then September gives me a break. This year September is booked solid. It's going to be a bit crazy...

Well, I have an hour or so until we leave. I think I'm in the mood to do some stamping... :-)
