Well, as squee as I ever get... :-) We're getting ready to go to a Josh Groban concert! Me and Mom and Diane really like his music. Mom perpetually has it playing in her car so we get to hear it a lot. I don't make it to many concerts so I'm pretty excited.

Woot!

WOW!!!!

5! Feet! From! Josh! Groban! :-)

Our very expensive seats ended up being on the Rose Garden Floor. We had no idea we'd be down there! I've never sat on the floor! Now, to be fair, they were at the very back of the floor, and near the sound mixing area. But there was a big open space/aisle thing in front of us which meant that we had a completely unobstructed view of the stage. No heads to crane around!

My fears of it being too loud were pretty much realized, but it wasn't (mostly) wall of sound-can't differentiate anything-so why are we here loud. It wasn't quite migraine loud. I kind of wished I had brought ear plugs, but I still really enjoyed the music. I also really enjoyed some of the banter with the audience that he did. He's pretty funny!

(Oh, and I've learned that concerts are all about ADD people... It was pretty hard to focus on any one thing for more than a few moments. There was lots going on... )

Then, on one of his songs, he started at the back of the auditorium and worked his way up to the stage. He came right behind our row! I wasn't quite close enough to touch him (not that I would), but Wow! I've never been that close to a performing artist before... It was very cool!

So, yea, I guess that means we had a pretty cool time! :-)

We also had dinner at a new to us Greek restaraunt called Alexi's. It was really good food and atmosphere. We had lamb souvlaki and greek salad. The greek salad was better than what I make. It had less lemon and spices and was really smooth. The feta in it was also much more mellow and was really good! We also tried some soup that tasted vaguely like chicken noodle (but not in that it had a hint of lemon and orzo and no chicken bits) and some really good spanokopita. The hummus wasn't bad, but wasn't my favorite. The baklava was really different. It seemed to have cinnamon and something citrus in it. I really liked it, but, like mom pointed out, it's not as good as Johnny's baklava at Mr. Gyro's! :-) We want to go back at some point!

Ok. 4:45 and giving Jeff a wake up call to help him get going will be here way too soon. But I really appreciate that he moved to a morning shift for me and I want to help him get up for it (since I'm the morning person). So off to dream!
