Just checking...

So, Taipan writer's night is at our house on Saturday. I understand that lots of people are going to be at Orycon or not coming because of gas prices. (both, by the by, totally reasonable reasons to not be there). However, in the food planning department, I'm trying to figure out how many people WILL be coming.

I know that it's potluck. However, in past years when I haven't provided a main dish, there hasn't been one. I'd hate to cook for a crowd only to have one or two show up, or cook for a few and have a crowd show up... :-)

And in the food planning department, I'm currently thinking stew. If you have something else you would rather see, please let me know!

Today involved beating up computers. But, as of about 3:00, I have Linux 8 on the server box! Now I just need to put the other computer back together to do some scanning and photo editing tonight.

But now it's time for dinner. I'm having grilled cheese and Jeff is having a totinos pizza

we live such exciting lives, eh? But I do feel accomplished that I have achieved functioning OS on the server box again. Let's hope it lasts!
