geojlcI have the Sunday afternoon "I was asleep and now I don't want to be awake but I have to be" grumpies... oh well...
We've unpacked all the "easy" to put away stuff. Now the rest of it is hard... There are times I wish I had Merlin's magic pack/unpack wand from Disney's Sword in the Stone. There are times it feels like I have The Mess That Ate My House (tm). I know it will get finished and sooner than later, but there you go.
Yesterday was pretty cool. I spent the morning at a shoebox swap. Create a card. Put all the materials in a shoebox and take it to a party. Everyone takes turns doing everyone elses project. I met some cool people and generally had fun. There was some fabulous food! I can't wait until the next one. Then, in the evening, I drove down to Gene and Mike's where I met Jeff and J'wyl and Sky. We all went out to Chinook's for dinner. MMmmmm... Chinooks.... I ate too much, but it was SO worth it. The cannery bread was wonderful. The chowder just what I wanted. Dessert was oh-my-heck wonderful. It's a good thing I don't go there very often! :-0
I would have liked to have stayed later, but I had to drive back (Jeff ended up driving his car down for the concom meeting).
Church was mostly pretty good. I'm having to get used to the new order of things. I've never been in a ward where Sunday school was first. And the dregs of my cold made things... interesting... There were times when either all the noise (from people chatting or babys and kids being, well, babies and kids) or the movement of people walking around was making me feel either dizzy or just overwhelemed. I'm not sure which. I didn't feel like the room was spinning, but I felt off balance, maybe like I was seeing the world through a layer of glass. It was definitely wierd. I'm also having to get used to the new time. I definitly don't like the church over lunch bit. I'm hungry to the headachey-grumpy point when we get out... But other than all that, it was ok.
We have a wierd neighbor. I'm not sure yet if she's a nice wierd neighbor or just a wierd neighbor. She's... Odd...
We're also getting used to our new stove. I've never really used a digital stove before... In some ways it's really cool, in other ways kind of irritating. Jeff just flipped the fish sticks, so dinner will be done shortly.
oh well. back to productive stuff...
