geojlcIt's hot. I know. whine, whine, whine. But there you have it. Our house never properly cooled down last night, and it was above 70 this morning when I got up. By noon it was almost 80 inside and I wasn't being very productive. So I packed up my work and database study stuff and biked over to the library. It wasn't a chilly air conditioned environment, but it was cooler than home. I spent a couple hours doing paid work and then did some database design study. After that I biked to QFC (nicely air conditioned) and to the produce market to do my grocery shopping. As soon as I got home, I started dinner
Dinner tonight was Pad Sieu (Thai shrimp, broccoli, and rice noodles and way yummy!). It was briefly hot while I cooked, but stir fry is generally fast, and Jeffrey and I were quickly eating dinner out on our front veranda (ie, the cement pad out by the shady, east facing, breeze catching front door).
It's still pretty warm, 81 inside, but it's cooling down and the fans are blowing cool air inside. I'm starting to be able to think again. I'm thinking I havce some sewing that wants doing.
I'm also thinking of going to the library much sooner tomorrow...
(by the by, we had a great time at the volunteer picnic. The breeze off the water was very nice and I spent almost the whole time in the shade... The food was good and the company even better. It was good to see people again!)
