geojlcMy office is undergoing another transformation. I really like how the last rearrange went on one end of the room. I like how my computer and stamping table and sewing desk are close and easy to work at. However the other end was not so nice. We had moved the 2nd of the stupid chest of drawers we bought after we got married in there. I had patterns and fabric in it. On top of that, I had stuff stacked. Then my food storage pantry was next to that. With stuff stacked on top of it. It has been inconvenient to get to and just looked horribly messy. I had to do some sewing stuff last week and had to get into the chest of drawers. I had forgotten how hard it was to get to anything in there. As I was pulling out the pattern I needed, the drawer it was in fell off the track. Again. And I decided it was time to change things.
So Jeff and I measured and thought things out and headed over to Ikea. The stupid chest of drawers is now a pile of boards and hardware (and is potentially more useful this way!). The new cube shelves are set up and looking good! Now I just get to start rearranging stuff in them! I'm really excited about it all! There will still be a few things stacked on top, but I'm hoping to have it all be much neater and easier to get to. And they won't get stacked until I'm out of cube space... I think it will all feel much more open and airy when I'm all done. And there hopefully won't be as much clutter on the floor. Another big bonus!
We get to sleep in a bit tomorrow. Jeff and I have our annual physicals. I can't say I'm terribly excited about going, but... I won't be going to Curves until afterward (if I can stand the thought of going to Curves after today!). Then it's paying work and office rearranging. I'm also hoping to get a UPS delivery tomorrow! Yea! :-)
Well, I think I'm going to do a bit more straightening up before going to bed. And take a shower. I haven't sweated that much since probably we rearranged the office last time! :-) Hopefully this will be the last transformation for a while...
