food question

Anyone have a favorite from scratch, cooked, thick, red pasta sauce? Something like Prego, but better because it's homemade? I've heard stories about the long cooking, yummy smelling sauces that people remember their mom's making. Unfortunately, I've never seen a recipie for one.

::laughs:: You don't see a recipe because a lot of just start cooking and dumping things in. I couldn't tell you how much of what goes in when :). I just have it all there and when it smells/stirs right, I put the stuff in. Sorry :).

My mom and dad make wonderful spagetti sauce... I just can't eat it any more. Let me know and I will try to dig up the recipe my mom gave me.
