The weather was nice for walking this morning. Overcast (so the sun isn't blinding me when I walk toward it) and a nice balance of warm and cool. I didn't do the full long walk (I've been really sore all week...), but I still got in 3500 steps. So I don't feel too bad. Now it's time for breakfast. I'm doing scrambled omlettes. I've been buying spinach at the store to put in my eggs, but the spinach I planted a few weeks ago is finally ripe. I've been putting yummy, fresh picked spinach in now. Yea!

So my dad has an interview with Microsoft today. My mom is coming up and will spend the day with me. My sister was going to come to, but she had a concert tonight that she couldn't miss. The are on their way up from Portland right now, and I'll meet them in Redmond. Mom and I are going to go to lunch with Jeffrey downtown. He wants to try a place called Noodle Ranch. Should be interesting! :-)

So, it should be a good day. I just wish I wasn't so tired... :-)

Are you guys going to lunch at Noonish? Be aware that the waitstaff isnt very fast nor very nice. (in my experience) The food is good though, I adore the Cha Kha. (Fish over rice noodles with Cilantro)

Jeffrey's lunch is 11:30. Is the waitstaff problem bad enough that we won't want to go? Our second choice was probably Mama's. Jeffrey never eats lunch out, so we don't really know what restaraunts are good in the area...

At 11:30 you should be fine though. He should tell Andreae that he's going to lunch out though and may be back a few minutes late just in case. (and it goes over better telling her in advance instead of just coming back a few min late.

I think the food is worth going there. The wait staff are annoying but can be ignored. Mama's has great wait staff, but the food is kinda um, gut busting? Greasy enchiladas lots of cheese drowning in sauce. Noodle Ranch is a better choice.

Oh, one other question, does Noodle Ranch have food for the unadventurous? Just wondering... :-)

How unadventurous? Thats a hard one actually. The menu ranges through curry, ramen noodle soups, udons, satays, gyoza, spring rolls--pretty much the gamut Pan Asian foods.
Udons just basically noodle soup. Satays are good since they are just grilled skewers with peanut sauce.
So if Asian works you are fine, if not, well I'm trying to think of a better choice down here, but everything is either asian or greasy.

Well, we like Chineese, but I usually get beef and broccoli (not spicy!) and my mom usually gets Sweet and Sour. Niether of us really like spicy. But I've had yaki soba somewhere and liked that. Hmmm... Jeff was also thinking of Mom's Teryaki. I've had teriaki and like that... Asian is MUCH better than greasy! :-)
