I can't get away from them!

They're on the telephone! They're at malls! They are even door to door! People selling things! grrr... We just had a young man stop by to try to demonstrate some cleaning supply or another. I politely told him I wasn't interested (I didn't want to watch his spiel anyway) and shut the door. About a minute later (just enough time for me to get back to the computer), There is another knock on the door.

"You know that scuff on your car?"

SLAM!!!

Now I rarely hang up on telemarketers. I try to be polite to people going door to door. I've had roomates that held both jobs and I know how hard it is. But If I tell you that I'm not interested, then I'M NOT INTERESTED!!!!!!

My time is more precious than your hurt feelings if you don't go away!!!

We get tons of stuff taped to our door. Mostly pizza places or landscaping. Mostly, it's annoying when we go on vacation, as it makes it more obvious nobody is home.

Door-to-door salesmen are less common. Had one show up last year while I was doing yard work in front. I told him to 'get lost', he did. I should have figured why he left so rapidly; I was holding a garden hose at the time....
