Jun. 5th, 2003 09:31 amYesterday was very busy. I weeded and watered again. did some other chores around the house. Picked up Jeffrey. then we went to Fred Meyer. We were at Fred Meyer on Monday and found that they had an incredible deal on the Lexar's new 256 MB memory stick for Jeffrey's camera. 80 bucks. that is $20 cheaper than anywhere on Pricegrabber. So we picked up one yesterday (they were out monday, but the clerk told us when the next shipment would be and then held one for us. Nice man). Happy Father's day to Jeffrey!
I also bar-b-qued salmon yesterday. Jeffrey found out that the Two Towers is at the Crest, and several friends had said they wanted to see it with him. Unfortunately, stuff came up. So I fed Jeffrey his salmon (I barbqued it with curing sugar. Amazing stuff!) and sent him to watch the movie. I was going to go to bed, but I ended up finishing (or rather reading most of) the Wee Free Men, Terry Pratchet's newest book. I really liked it. Lots of fun!
I also went on a bike ride yesterday. They were doing some work on the Burk-Gillman trail, so we were re-routed onto one of the residential streets right on the waterfront. The highlight of the ride was coming around a corner and flushing a heron about 10 feet away. What a cool bird!
This morning I installed the drip system in the front yard. that will make watering nice and easy. And now, I think I'm headed out to the hammock. I think a rest day is in order (I hurt, anyway...)
