Yesterday was pretty fun. I left [livejournal.com profile] jeffreycornish at home getting ready for his interview up in Everett and drove down to Portland. I picked up my sister and me and mom and Diane met my dad for lunch at Happy Panda. It was pretty dang good! After lunch, us girls drove down to Portland where we watched Howl's Moving Castle. I LOVED it. As I expected. I haven't disliked anything Miyazaki has done. Some of it is kind of wierd, but it's all good! Before the movie, we had about an hour to kill. We wandered through some of the park block in downtown and found a farmer's market. I bought a couple heads of garlic, but we mostly just looked. It was a pretty nice little market, and there was even a bluegrass band playing. It was nice.

After dinner, Mom, Diane, and I went folk dancing. I got several dances in. Mom and Diane didn't dance too much, but they were also pretty tired. We all decided to leave about 9:10 and went over to Burgerville for their blackberry shakes. Mmmmm... Nice and creamy... :-)

This morning, mom and I had a nice walk. Now I'm cleaning up and getting ready for the card class I'm teaching at 1 pm. Yea for a little extra income and writing off all my mileage as a business trip!

We're thinking about going to another favorire Chinese restaraunt (China Bay) for dinner tonight. MMMMmmmm.... Tomorrow is a trip to the beach for a family reunion! Yea for family and Yea for the beach!

And I'm excited to hear about the outcome of [livejournal.com profile] jeffreycornish's interview yesterday. Here's to new things!

Happy, Happy, Happy! Jeffrey has a new job! They called him today and said "yes we want you!" He's already put in his notice at Speezy. His last day is the 19th. Then we go to Utah. He starts at the new place on the 26th! It's all so fast... Monday when he went to work, we didn't know that anything was going on. Now, Thursday, he has a new job!

I've talked to him several times today, and he sounds SO excited! I'm so happy for him!

And the best part is that there doesn't seem to be any hard feelings at Speezy. They all seem to be excited about his new opportunity! WOOT!!!!
