rush, rush, rush...

I've been rushing about like crazy this morning, but the only place I've gone is on my walk this morning.

Yes, I actually went and walked this morning. I got up and made Jeffrey's lunch then walked. He didn't have to be in until 8 and he wants to drive for now. That means he doesn't have to leave until 7:30. That's later than I want to start my day... So I got my walk in before he left!

Since Jeffrey left, I've done laundry, put dinner in the crock pot, made breakfast, done some cleaning in my office, cooked chick peas to make hummous, worked on paying work, and eaten lunch. There have been a few games of Spider Solitaire in there, but I've been pretty busy...

By the by, soup over at Gene and Mike's on Sunday inspired me to make my own chicken soup today... :-)

I tried to make a fritatta this morning. diagnoses? It was a pain for what turne into essentially scrambled eggs... :-) It was interesting putting the frying pan under the broiler to cook the top of the eggs, but they wouldn't slide out. Next time, I'll put the same ingredients in and just scramble the eggs like normal...

I guess I'm going to try to go on my diet again... My eating has been a bit out of control recently... I remember feeling a lot better when I wasn't eating so much junk food and bad carbs. Now if I can just get through the first phase of Southbeach, life will be much better... :-)

I suppose I should stop slacking and get back to my paying work...

sigh...

It looks like our Mattie cat is having possible teeth issues... I guess I get to call the vet tomorrow and make the poor beast an appointment. She is SO going to hate me! Not only am I going to make her get in the car, I'm going to take her to the vet... Don't worry cat, you have nothing on my sister's cat. I used to have to take her to the vet down in Portland.

I'm kind of torn. She's starting to get kind of old (12ish), so things are bound to start going wrong. On the one hand I don't want the cat to be in pain, but on the other we don't have a lot of liquid cash to spend on vet bills and meds and special foods... She's just an animal, but she's also Jeffrey's baby. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the vet says.

In other news, I'm going to go have lunch with Jeffrey tomorrow and meet people. I went up with him 2 years ago when he did a brief visit, but it will be a bit different now. Then I'll pay the rent, go to Walmart, and possibly visit a friend up in Lynnwood. That should be fun!
