Aug. 31st, 2005 08:33 pmThe Mr. Gyro dude is SO cool! :-) Jeffrey and I just got back from there. He was outside his shop when we turned into his parking lot and he waved at us. I thought that was pretty cool. But the coolest part was that he helped me troubleshoot the hummous I was trying to make. Let me start by saying that I LOVE hummous. If it's good enough, I'm happy to have at it with a spoon. It's better with warm pita, but I just love it. I tried making it again. it was ok, but missing something. So I took it with me. The look on his face when he tried it and agreed that it wasn't right was priceless... So he gave me a taste of his and we both agreed mine was missing more than something... :-)
The meal, as ever, was AWSOME! (again, if you haven't been, I totally recommend them! I'd give them 3 thumbs up if I had them! :-)
After dinner, I was asking him hummous questions again, so he gave me a spoonful to take home so I could have something to compare to as I tried to make mine. Mine is much better after a bunch more garlic, lemon juice, salt, and another spoonful of tahinni... His has something more, but I can't tell what it is and I like mine now. That was above and beyond cool! :-)
I had fun going up to Jeffrey's work. Jeffrey showed me around and introduced me to his co-workers. The guy who works in the next cubicle apperantly likes to call Jeff on the phone to ask him about something... So I didn't feel to bad about sassing them back when they sassed me... :-)
all in all, it was a pretty good day!
