(no subject)

So I decided to brave the weather and I came home yesterday. The roads were mostly clear, although there were a couple of places where there was compact snow/sand/whatever on the roadway. Mostly in the carpool lane around Federal Way. There was also several places where powder was blowing around on the road. It looked pretty cool. I saw a few snowflakes in my headlights at the south end of Everett, but nothing too heavy. My worst problems (other than sucky traffic at Northgate and again in south Everett) was when I got off the freeway to go to the Mountlake Terrace Costco to get gas. I got to practice getting out of a bit of a fishtail, but there was no traffic around and I kept my cool. I was pretty happy with how I dealt with it... :-)

Today has been all about unpacking and getting my little Christmas tree up and decorated. I thought about getting a real tree (I think I heard that my favorite produce stand has trees at a good price), except I found the perfect tree topper at Bartels this morning and bought that instead. It's a glowey, changing LED topper and I'm happy with it! So now I have a tree with 3 presents underneath. Life is good. I have my tiny nativity up, and I'm wishing for more display space for my other Christmas sorts of things. Oh well. Another time... Now I just need to get the living room actually clean... :-) That's on my to do list for the evening.

I just realized I have to run to the store for one of dinner's ingredients. Better get going!
