Dec. 14th, 2006 10:29 pmThe sound of the wind blowing outside is something else. There are times it sounds like a helicopter close by. Other times it's close to a howl. We haven't lost power yet, but it's been flickering all evening...
I noted flashing lights a few minutes ago and there was a policeman outside clearing a big branch out of the road...
My mom in Portland was telling me that they don't have power right now (she was going to post about the big windstorm when the power went out). She finally got to use her supply of candles and power outage stuff... :-)
I should be in bed, but it's hard to sleep while listening to the wind...
I'm just glad we are in our current house. No need to worry about dieing pine trees out back or all the drafts caused by the wind. No wind screaming down the chimney either (even with the damper closed...). Yep. Moving was definitely a good idea!
