Before anyone stresses, we didn't have much in the way of problems where I live. No flooding. No power outages. No downed trees. A couple of garbage cans flying, but not ours. The worst that I can see was the branch that the policeman moved last night.

Not everyone was so lucky, though. One of my friends posted this in their LJ. Like [livejournal.com profile] vixyish, I didn't realize it was that bad! :-) Another case of happy to be living only 7 blocks from work. Jeff could walk in if necessary.

The oddest thing for me today was going to Curves at 7:30 and being the first person there... Usually any number of people have been in by that point! I also heard that the local school district was closed. I guess some parts of Everett didn't fare as well as where I live. I suppose part of it is that I'm only a few blocks from a hospital... :-)

So, I've been working on the cookies. The rest of the spritz cookies are dipped and the spice cookies are frosted. yea! That just leaves the fudge meltaways to do this afternoon sometime. And I even got to use my cookies for service... I got an email that someone in my ward had passed away this week and the funeral was to be tomorrow. They were looking for help in providing a luncheon afterward and listed desserts as being needed. Well, since I happen to have a whole bunch of cookies in the kitchen, I offered and they accepted. I was glad to help. After all, people I didn't know provided us such a sweet luncheon after my Grandfather's funeral a few years ago. I just feel like I should pass on the gift!

I'm doing well on my to do list, but there are still things left... I need to:
-make fudge meltaways
-work on class prep
-clean
-finish making christmas presents for tomorrow
-run to the store
-pack up plates of christmas cookies for tomorrow
-get out the chocolate fountain (we're taking it down to the party tomorrow! Yea!)

There's other stuff, I'm sure, but that's first on my list.

Oh, I just talked to [livejournal.com profile] kehf and they said that they are without power at the moment. I guess it came on around 9:30 and then went back off around 1:30. Kristin said it was cutting into their clean/prep time. I offered use of my oven if they need it, but I'm a little far away.

And as a thought, we just switched our website to be hosted on the home computer. But, unfortunately, we don't actually have the files on the computer yet... So, for now, there is not geocornish website. Which means our wishlists are down for the moment. Let us know if you still need the info off them! I'm hoping to get to it today, but we'll have to see...

And that's about it for me. I need to get back to being productive. And eat something more substantial than frosting.... MMmmmm.... Frosting! :-)
