for the lose
Nov. 17th, 2007 01:50 amthe server box is down again... Now I'm wondering if it isn't the motherboard. It was stopping on it's own again. I did get it to boot back to Fedora, but then it died again and wouldn't turn on at all.
Sigh... I'm getting close to calling it dead and replacing most of the guts inside. It doesn't need to be a powerful machine. In fact, an old but reliable beast would do. All it has to do is be a server box (run Fedora, Apache, Perl, PHP, and hold the files for the site).
sigh. I want my webspace back...
In happier news, we had our friend Jen over tonight for fried rice and conversation. It was a lot of fun. Follow it with some WoW and it's a really good evening. I also did some grocery shopping today and bought a turkey. It's currently defrosting in the oven for cooking Monday morning. Since Jeff has to work 2-11 on Thanksgiving day, I'm cooking Thanksgiving on Monday. Then Jeff can have turkey sandwiches all week! :-) That and I'm heading down to Portland again on Tuesday. I get to take the train! Jeff will come down and join me after work on Thursday. My family will do another thanksgiving on Friday (including my brother and his cute family). We're also hoping to do a family portrait sometime that day. And don't forget day after Thanksgiving shopping with mom! It's the Fred Meyer 6 hour 1/2price sock sale! yea sales!
Ok. I'm rambling. that must mean it's way too late and I'm too tired for words. or something. Night and have a nice weekend wherever you are!
