Yesterday was pretty cool... Once again, I scored a "save more than I spent" at Albertsons! They keep having really good deals on things I want. So I go and ONLY get the things that are on special... Their lost leader idea isn't working very well for me... Yesterday, they had pasta on sale. 50 cents for 12-16 oz packages of pasta. And guess what? pasta was already on my list of things to buy this week! Woot! :-)

For our date night, Jeffrey and I decided to go out for a nice dinner to celebrate his new job (he starts on the 26th, but we'll be out of town...). We were going to go to Marrakesh (Morrocan food) down town, but they didn't open until 5. Jeff was off at 4:30. We decided we didn't want to wait in the hot and pay for parking so we left and went to Chinooks instead. MMMMmmm... yummy fresh seafood and cannery bread... I had the Blue Plate special of Canadian Ling Cod (it came with clam chowder!), and Jeffrey had Ahi tuna. Needless to say, it was all very good. Yes, we will eventually get to Marrakesh, just not for a little bit... :-)

After dinner, we went to Discovery point and walked down to the South beach. We walked along the water and then stopped to watch birds. We're pretty sure it was Osprey we were watching. There were 3 of them, and they were very cool. They would flutter and flap around over the water, then swoop and dive into the the water (that's what tipped me off that they were osprey... :-). Sometimes they would come up with a fish, but mostly they came up empty clawed. It was just cool to watch! It was also interesting watching them circle and fly looking for the food. Their wings did things I didn't know were possible. The sun was setting as we walked back up to the car. We were both pretty wiped by the walk, but it was good times and I'm glad we went!

Today is going to be a nice, quiet, stay around the house sort of day. I have paying work to do as well as some stamping stuff to catch up on. It's also time to start thinking about packing for the upcoming trip...

One other bit of goofiness, my sister hooked me on the Spamalot sound track. Yes, there are songs I'm not too fond of, but there are others that are HILARIOUS! And they won't go away. I'll be doing something with Jeffrey and I'll look up and start singing the Diva's Lament, or Where is the Song Like This... And we'll both crack up... Part of me wants to see the play, and part of me doesn't. Good thing I don't have to worry about it righ now! :-)
