Yesterday was very productive, but not quite what I was hoping for. After I got Jeff out the door, I went to cut out fabric. One thing I usually do first is pin the bodice pattern front and back pieces together to make sure that the armhole and stuff is big enough. And sure enough, they werent. So before I could cut anything, I had to go and alter the patterns... grr. but I got both patterns i wanted to cut out altered, went to JoAnns as planned, and even got out in under an hour. I was a bit miffed because the simplicity patterns (most of what I wanted) aren't on sale until next weekend... I guess I'll be back. Then it was off to Kehf and Auntie's house to sew. Or rather cut out. I consulted a bit with Auntie about dying fabric, but I think I'm going to wait on that project. I cut out muslin mock-ups of 3 outfits and then got 2 of them actually sewn. I was hoping to have been to the real fabric cutting out stage by the middle of the day, but oh well. I can cut out the real fabric for one of my dresses tomorrow. Kehf said that I can come back on Monday to use her machine again, so I'm happy.

After I wrapped up and went home with Jeffrey, I put the finishing touches on Priscilla's gift and we headed up to Sky's house. We watched a Miyazhaki (sp?) film called The Red Pig. (that wasn't it's Japanese name, but I can't remember it...) I thought it was cute, but I have a hard time trying to watch a movie and deal with sub-titles. I'm sure I missed a bunch of the storyline... After the movie, we just sat and talked. It was good to laugh that much :-)

Today should be busy as well. We're going to breakfast at my favorite breakfast place (Wellers up in Arlington) with Jeffrey's parents. They're just back from a long trip to Arizona. There's also a Norwescon registration training session that I'm going to with Jeffrey. I'll probably spend at least a bit of time helping him with green-room registration and figure I better know how to do stuff. Officially, anyway. There's also the pinochle party at Kehf's house to go to in the evening. I'm not sure I'll play, but it will be nice to see everyone!
