The dentist wasn't as bad as I was anticipating. Yes, it was uncomfortable. Yes, my mouth is sore. Yes, I still do not enjoy going. But I got a clean bill of health (no cavity work! woot!) and Dr. Dung took his time and spent time talking to me about all sorts of things including Harry Potter and mutual friends.

I have also learned that part of my dental anxiety is a sort of claustrophobia feeling I get when I can't breath very well through my nose (much of the time) and I'm trying to breath around everything going on in my mouth. During my crown work last year, I started using Breathe Right strips at night and tried them at the dentist. They didn't decrease my anxiety, but they did make it easier to breath. I wore them again today and recommended them to Dr. Dung. He thought that was a great idea and is going to stock some!

I'm mostly releived that I didn't have any cavities and that I don't have to go back for 6 months...

Gene, Dr. Dung told me to tell you hi. He also asked if you had any more bike accidents recently :-)

We're looking forward to CD coming over tonight (for real! :-). It should be fun to hang with him for a while!

anywho. back to life!
