It's a day for watching A Christmas Carol.
I'm trying to get some serious work done on my mother-in-law's Christmas present. I'm making good progress, so that's good. In the mean time, I decided to watch the Patrick Stewart version of the movie. I picked it up last year after Christmas and have kept forgetting to watch it this season. It was a good rendition. I really liked it. We watched the Muppet version last Sunday at Deb's house. I hadn't seen it and liked it as well. After the Patrick Stewart version finished, I decided that I absolutely must watch the Mr. Magoo version! :-) I'm in the middle of it now, but my fingers needed a break from the project...
The Mr. Magoo version is really cheesy. And the version I have has the spirits all mixed up (present comes before past), but it's totally a family tradition. It was the first version I ever saw. My family recorded off tv one year and we watched it at least once a season every year after that. I hadn't seen it for a couple of years before I got it as a gift last Christmas. It was fun to watch it and sing along with it again. The songs are so much a part of it for me that I can't watch the other versions without thinking of the Mr. Magoo songs. (a hand for each hand, razzelberry dressing, we're just blankity-blank-blank no good... :-). So I'm watching Mr. Magoo again! :-)
It's nice to sit and do quiet work. I'm still at least slightly wiped out from donating yesterday. I went to Curves this morning (even though I didn't want to), but I did a really low key workout. I just don't want to get out of the habbit... :-) Besides, I'm at 96 workouts since I started in August and I want to hit 100 before the end of the year! :-)
I suppose I should get back to the gift. I have other things that also need doing today. For having not a lot of time commitments on the calendar, there is sure still a lot of stuff to do! :-)
