geojlcAfter most of the stress was over (it's never completely gone...), it was a lovely weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed watching movies with Gene and Michael. We had a pretty relaxing Christmas morning. My wonderful Jeffie made me waffles for breakfast. There were also cinnamon rolls and oj. The rolls for dinner with Jeff's family turned out pretty dang good. We opened the couple of presents under the tree and were wonderfully surprised with the results. Jeffie got a new cd/mp3 player for his car (the current player no longer reads any cds at all). I got a gift I've been draming about for years now--an LCD flat panel monitor! It took a few minutes to get the settings right, but now it's perfect! My other really cool toy was the

It was wonderful to go to Jeff's aunt's house and just sit. Sometimes I partipated in various conversations, sometimes I just listened, and other times I just dozed. Jeff's mom seemed to be really happy with the hat I made for her. I might make another one for his aunt who also seemed to like it. Everyone was happy to get cookies. We didn't make out with tons of loot, but that didn't bother me (too much anyway... It's hard to see other people getting piles of stuff when you don't. And I was just happy to not feel guilty about getting really cool stuff when I wasn't giving really cool stuff...).
Things broke up around 9:30 and Jeff and I went home and went to bed. I even slept in really late this morning. All the way to 8:30! :-)
After I get off the computer and eat breakfast, it's time to clean the living room. My mom's coming up today and we need to clear things up so that we can open up the sleeper sofa... :-) Jeff and I are also donating blood in a couple of hours. After that I have some stamping stuff to do. I don't know if Mom has any plans after she gets here, although I'd kind of like to go to see the Zoo Lights. We'll see what happens! :-)
