Because [livejournal.com profile] genebreshears says that writing in our LiveJournals is all about amusing [livejournal.com profile] miko2, I thought I would mention that our cat, Mattie, much like [livejournal.com profile] miko2 is left handed. Or, as Jeff corrected me, is left fore-pawed. How do we know? It's all about opening doors.

Our cat does NOT like having closed doors in her domain. Which is pretty much everywhere in the house. I don't know about you, but I like to have the bathroom door at least sort of shut when I'm in there. Which annoys the cat when she's also in there. At our old house, if the bathroom door was cracked open at least an inch or so, she could hook her paw into it and get it open enough to get out. Not so at this place. More often than not, she ends up shutting the door completely. Now, I've watched her use her right paw to try and open then door, and then her left paw to completely shut it. But I never thought about it. Until this last illness anyway.

We pulled out the vaporizer to use in our bedroom at night. Now, for the vaporizer to be effective, you really want a closed room. Yea. That goes over really well with the cat... Anyway, we cracked the door open, but not more than an inch or so because that sometimes appeases the 'oh my goodness this door is closed' response. Every morning, however, the door would be open. One morning, I watched her hook that left paw into the crack and pull the door toward her.

Ding! I mentally looked at the doors at our last house and realized that all of them used a left paw to open.

Therefore, our cat must be left handed. Right? Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it...

ok. I guess you all want some real news while I am at it... :-)

Last weekend was a nice combination of just busy enough to not be bored but not too busy. We didn't have anything planned on Saturday morning, so we slept in and Jeff made waffles for brunch. Then we went down to Gene and Mike's for practice on a seekrit project. Well, I didn't really know it was secret until Gene said so in in his lj today. but there you have it. It was good to chat with friends and eat Micheal home made yummy soup. :-)

And for those who heard me talking about it... Here's Beaker singing Feelings. Very silly! :-)

After the project practice, Jeff and I went over to Wayward Coffee House to catch a concert by our friends Tony and Vixy. It was a fun concert. And I learned that I liked a song called Code Monkey. I've heard Jeff talk about it, but never actually heard the song. Now I have it stuck in my head. But that's a good thing cause I think it's a really sweet song! :-)

Sunday was church, designing, cards, and WoW. Nice combo, if you ask me.

Today is absolutely gorgeous! It's over 70 and we have the windows open to air out the house. I'm making bread and doing laundry. If I get my act together, I might even get the flat tire on my bike fixed. (of course, I have to sneak away from all the funny YouTube Muppet videos first... :-)

I'm just quoting [livejournal.com profile] miko2 who one evening posted a long lament about the fact that no one on his friends list had posted anything since he last read it, ending with, "You're supposed to be entertaining me! Get with the program, people!"
