Jeff and I had a wonderful time at the Pandora Halloween party. My computer bug ladybug costume seemed to go over well. I had fun making it, although it was more last minute than I like doing. I get to wear it again tonight at choir. I especially liked this year's bug building craft project. chasing the bugs on balloons was great fun all evening.

Yesterday ended up being a veeeeery long day. well, it felt that way, anyway... :-) Went to church and the choir performed in the first meeting. I was having a really hard time staying awake, so I went home after the first meeting and straight to bed (around 11:30). I didn't get up till 3:30 and only then because I needed to be somewhere at 4. wow. That was a long nap. Anywho. My 4:00 commitment was a Christmas instrumental music rehearsal. I'm getting to borrow a cello most of the next month. The lady wants me to play in the messiah. I'm not sure if I can learn it that fast, but we'll see. I do know that after an hour of playing, my hand was very sore, and my fingers threatening to blister. I think for the next few days, my goal is to play something like 15 minute periods to build up callouses on my fingers instead of blisters. We'll see how it works. But, it is nice to have an instrument to play again! :-) After the rehearsal, there was another meeting. I kind of thought that meeting was a bit of a time waste, but oh well. After I got home, I read a bit (finished my book! yea!) and then Jeff and I played wow until it was bed time.

Anyway, there's lots to do both today and this week. The biggest project is probably the website overhaul that needs to be ready to go live next Monday. But there's also stuff like auditioning for the Sweet Adelaide group tonight and working on hemming some pants for a friend (that I've already had for something like 2 weeks...). In addition to the regular stuff like housework and laundry and cooking and Curves.

So, I guess my immediate plan is to go to Curves then come home and start the chicken marinating for dinner tonight. We'll see what happens after that. Ok. The immediate plan seems to be giving the cat belly rubs, since she's upside down on the couch next to me begging for them... :-)

Who is doing the Messiah this year? And is it going to be a Sing-In? I always seem to miss the one put on by the Bellevue Stake, since we moved up to Kirkland (*cough*tenyearsago*cough*). [livejournal.com profile] rackham actually used to play cello with their orchestra when we were still there... probably still would, if he had any idea when the practices were.

The one my friend wants me to do is the Lynnwood stake one. She's doing the Bellevue one. Send me an email at geojlc at gmail dot com and I'll forward you her contact info so you can get the scoop on Bellevue.
