I had a very productive doctor's visit today. The unemployment people said it would be fine to give my doctor the details and let her fill it out. (I have the name and number of the guy who told me that it was ok if they deny my claim...) So my doctor filled out the paperwork (she was just as confused as I, but very nice about it...) She also agreed that the bloodwork done back in January wasn't routine medical care and wrote a note so that the billing department could resubmit it under a different code. Hopefully, now, the insurance will pay for it (stupid $200/year cap on preventative care...).
She also looked at the huge bruise on my leg and gave me lots of sympathy. To make sure that nothing is truly wrong (and because she already wanted to do x-ray's on my foot to make sure that I don't have heel-spurs) she x-rayed my leg. No hairline fractures! Yea! And, no, I don't really have much of a heel spur. a small one, but not abnormal. She thinks that may have been what the base problem with my feet were, though. Just enough of a spur that the standing caused inflamation of the tendons going around the spur... So much fun.
And the final verdict? I'm not dead yet. I take a long time to heal, but I'm not dead yet!
