Well, I'm down in Portland and having fun. Mom and Diane and I headed down to REI today and got our National Park Pass for the next year. We'll completely pay it off on our vacation (Bryce and Grand Canyon are $20 each to visit) and then anything else will be bonus! And we can use it next summer to go to Crater Lake. fun.
Then we ran some other errands on the way home, including a trip to Powells (a smaller one in Beaverton--Not the huge one downtown... that will have to be another time) to get some used children's books for Eric and Mirinda. I'll be missing the baby shower, so I thought I'd give them my gift tomorrow. We finished our errands by stopping at Burgerville for fresh blackberry shakes. Yum!
It's good to see my sister and family again. That is the one drag about living in Seattle: I don't get to see my family as often as I would like to. My sister and I are really close, and I wish I could spend more time with her...
But, at the same time, I do miss Jeffrey. I wish he could have come down with me...(darn board meetings. always in the way...)
And one other perk about my parent's house? Central Air conditioning... mmm... air conditioning... :-)
